In May, our colleague David Seide attended this year’s Microbiome & Probiotics in Rotterdam, the Netherlands organized by Global Engage.
The event is a combination of 3 events, the 6th Microbiome R&D & Business Collaboration Forum, the 3rd Probiotics Congress and the Skin Microbiome & Cosmeceuticals Congress. This global microbiome and probiotics conference series brought together more than 300 industry, academic, and investment leaders to discuss the most cutting-edge microbiome and probiotics research, challenges and opportunities.
We presented OmicsBox, our novel bioinformatics desktop solution. Its Metagenomics Module is an “All-in-One Microbiome Analysis Toolbox”. This had also been the title of our poster (see below).
The OmicsBox Metagenomics module allows to combine and integrate all necessary steps for a complete metagenome analysis in a flexible and intuitive way. Either starting with 16S or shotgun metagenomics data, this module provides all the necessary tools to validate your data (FastQC, Trimmomatic) and to characterize and quantify the different taxa with Kraken. Further options, including metagenomic assembly, gene prediction and functional characterization are explained with more detail in the actual poster and here. All results come with rich visualizations in different styles to interpret the data and publishing the results.
Thanks for stopping by and see you next year!
